Hotels and Cabins

The only Colorado national park to have a hotel is Mesa Verde with its Far View Lodge (www.visitmesaverde.com). Outside the parks, visitors will find a large variety of hotels and motels to choose from to fit every need and budget. Two spectacular and particularly unique hotels are the historic Stanley Hotel near Rocky Mountain National Park which was inspiration for the Stephen King movie, The Shining, and the historic Strater Hotel near Mesa Verde National Park with themed rooms in honor of notable southwest Colorado pioneers.
