Colorado’s state parks are as diverse as the state itself. Hike or climb in Eldorado Canyon near Boulder and see moose in State Forest State Park near Walden.
Colorado and its national parks cater to camping enthusiasts with an enormous amount of campgrounds and RV and camping opportunities for visitors. To start, there are five campgrounds in Rocky Mountain National Park, one in Mesa Verde, three in Black Canyon and one in Great Sand Dunes. Backcountry camping opportunities for backpackers also abound inside the parks (with permits) and in the surrounding areas.
