Soak in this outdoor steamy pool fed by a local geothermal hot spring in the San Luis Valley. It's part of Alamosa's history. Splashland started in the mid 50's when a drilling company struck hot water instead of oil. The iconic welcome sign looks much the same as it did 60 years ago. The pool is located one mile north of town on Highway 17. Open Memorial Day to Labor Day.

8. Hot Springs Aquatic Center

Salida, Colo.

Soak in 100% geothermal odorless hot springs open to the public. The Salida Hot Springs Pool is the largest indoor hot springs facility in the county with water gathered from underground springs eight miles up the road, high in the Rocky Mountains. Shy?
