The Glenwood Hot Springs Pool sits at the intersection of the Colorado and Roaring Fork rivers, once a place where Ute Indians wintered. Today, it’s home to the world’s largest hot springs pool, complete with water slides, a kiddie pool, a spa and 107-room lodge. It’s just steps away from Glenwood’s charming downtown.
The Iron Mountain Hot Springs is the town’s newest hot springs facility. There are 16 hot mineral springs pools and a freshwater pool with a jetted spa. It’s along the Colorado River across from the tram at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park.

Have some family fun at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. Ride the tram. Take a cave tour. Or take a thrill ride on the alpine coaster or zipline.
Play down by the river. Glenwood Springs is located at the confluence of the Colorado and the Roaring Fork Rivers. That means top fishing, rafting, kayaking and a world-class whitewater activity area.
Hike to Hanging Lake. It’s one of the most popular hikes in Colorado. Suspended on the edge of Glenwood Canyon’s cliffs, the clear turquoise lake and the waterfall that spills into it are a breathtaking sight after the uphill climb about a mile long.
Relax at the underground vapor-filled caverns at the Yampah Spa and Vapor Caves that were originally used by the Ute Indians for both healing and rituals.
Ride a bike. Glenwood Canyon Recreation Trail is the area’s most popular cycling trail. It follows the Colorado River and is interspersed with rest areas at No Name, Grizzly Creek, Hanging Lake and Bair Ranch.
